Jenny Slate Sets February Launch For Prime Video Comedy Special ‘Seasoned Professional’

EXCLUSIVE: Jenny Slate has unveiled Seasoned Professional, a new stand-up special from A24 that’s set to premiere on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on February 23rd.

This is her second special, on the heels of 2019’s Stage Fright for Netflix, a mix of stage time, funny stories about adulthood, and conversations with family in her childhood home, which was nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award. Check out a clip from her new hour above.

With her new special, Slate aims to show that being brave for love is worth it — even when it comes to pushing out a baby, stalking your therapist, or trusting your partner not to destroy you. It comes on the heels of her journey to the Oscars with Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, the acclaimed stop-motion feature based on characters created with Dean Fleischer Camp, which she co-created, co-wrote, co-produced and starred in for A24.

An actress, producer and New York Times bestselling author, in addition to a comedian, Slate’s other recent film credits include the Prime Video rom-com I Want You Back and A24 Oscar winner Everything Everywhere All at Once. An SNL alum otherwise best known for starring in Gilllian Robespierre’s indie darling Obvious Child, she’s also been seen in Sony‘s Venom with Tom Hardy, A24 and Apple TV+’s On the Rocks with Bill Murray and Rashida Jones, and more.
