Jenny McCarthy has been a consistent presence on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve" for a decade now. In recent years, she's interacted with the crowd in Times Square, and worked with Ryan Seacrest to produce memorable moments.

With McCarthy stepping away from her role as host, the show's producers likely wanted to find someone fairly well-known to step into the role. That's probably why they decided to name former "Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale as Seacrest's new co-host for the special.

Although she's never hosted this special before, Hale is no stranger to hosting gigs. She's co-hosted the Teen Choice Awards with YouTube star David Dobrik, who kicked her in the hand mid-show.

This time, Hale has nothing but praise for her new co-host. In an interview with Us Weekly, she outlined some of her own 2020 resolutions. On top of the admirable goal of never settling for bad coffee, Hale made it clear that she's ready to find some romance.

"I'm always open to finding love, you know? Where is it? Where is he? We’ll find him," she told the magazine. "I think what I meant by that is so often, we settle. And I think it's like the year of not settling for things that aren’t beneficial for us."

Before Christmas, Hale also made a list of some other resolutions she had on Instagram. Those resolutions were in a similar vein, focusing on not accepting less than what she deserves.

"Dear 2020- less plastic-more healthy boundaries-accepting love we DO deserve-dismissing thoughts/people/habits that don’t serve us-more water (!!!)-ok more coffee too-new leaders who radiate goodness and positive change-less online bullying-more cowbell- and lots of peace love and kindness," Hale wrote in the comment for the post. "Oh and may my brows stay bold. Love, Lucy," she captioned the post.

It's clear that Hale is more than ready to ring in the new year and the new decade in extravagant fashion in Times Square.

Although Hale will be looking for love in the New Year, her co-host already has plans for his New Year's Eve kiss. Us Weekly added that the long-time host will have his girlfriend Shayna Taylor by his side when the ball drops at midnight.

"Shayna [Taylor] will be with me, so she will [be my kiss]," Seacrest told the magazine. "Or Post Malone. I don't know. It could go either way … It depends who's closest, I guess." All the action will begin tonight at 8 pm on ABC.
