Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg recalls 'Viagra central' Playboy mansion: 'So much sex going on with gross celebrities'

"The Masked Singer" host discussed not doing the "Playboy" documentary and how she got the gig there in the first place.

Jenny Mccarthy-Wahlberg wasn't part of the Secrets of Playboy documentary — though, she was asked to be on it — but she shared stories about her Playboy experience on Monday's episode of Watch What Happens Live.

"There was so much...sex going on with gross celebrities in the grotto areas," she recalls of attending parties at the Playboy Mansion. "For every 20 guys, there was, like, one girl. So, the guys were in heaven. But also, the guys were, like, over 70 years old...There was only hot women and the ugliest dudes...It was like Viagra central."

While plenty of accusations have surfaced about drug use, exploitation, and surveillance at the mansion, McCarthy-Wahlberg says that wasn't her experience with the magazine or at the mansion, partly because "Hef was married at the time."

“There was that big Playboy scandal TV show special. They asked me to be part of it constantly,” she told host Andy Cohen. “I’m like, ‘Listen, I didn’t have that experience.’ Pamela [Anderson] didn’t have that experience. We were at a different time, I think...I was there when his kids were throwing bacon at me in high chairs."

The Masked Singer cohost detailed how she went from working at a Polish grocery store in Chicago to being a Playmate and working at MTV. It started when she went to the Playboy headquarters in Chicago to see how she could get in the magazine. She was told the women in the magazine didn't just show up to the office randomly. But then, an editor walked by.

"I was waiting for the elevator, and an editor walked by," McCarthy-Wahlberg said. "He said, 'We have a photo shoot. Do you just wanna throw on a bikini?'" By the time she got home, there was a message on her answering machine from someone from Playboy who wanted to test her for Miss October.

After she got the gig, she used the money to send her mom on a cruise so her mom wasn't around when the issue dropped. "She disowned me for three days," McCarthy-Wahlberg said. "And then she fell in love with me again. And then I paid off all their bills with the money."

After Playboy, McCarthy-Wahlberg famously went on to work at MTV, but she was initially told that the network would never hire a Playboy model. So, she disguised herself through auditions, not disclosing who she was until just two candidates remained. She, of course, got the job.
