Jennifer Love Hewitt used her birthday to remind everyone that embracing being a work in progress is the coolest thing to do at any age.
On Feb 21, Hewitt shared a radiant selfie to her Instagram, celebrating her 45th birthday in style. She shared the photo with a long caption that perfectly encapsulates how versatile you become with every passing year, and how we should embrace being works in progress.

“Hi. Today I am 45. I love my kids. Husband. Brother. My best friend. All my family. My magical friends. Coworkers. And all who have allowed me to do my dream job since I was 10 years old. I love horoscopes, manifesting, prayers, affirmations and the universe,” she said. “Ice cream/soft serve, coffee and anything holidays related is my joy. Kindness, love, empathy, and making magic for others is my vibe. I am flawed, sometimes hard on myself and a total work in progress.”
She added, “I will never stop missing my mother. I have so much I want to do and I plan on making it all happen. I cry alot but I also feel alot and I’m grateful for that. Today has felt better than maybe I even deserve. It has been simple, fun and so abundant in little ways that truly mean so much to me.”
Hewitt ended by saying, “I am truly ready to crush 45 and so happy for all the great memories this year will make. Thank you for being here and I send love to all❤️.”

Not only do we love the fact that Hewitt showed everyone that it’s more than okay to be a work in progress, but In fact, embracing it is the healthy thing to do and shows you can be easy on yourself because we’re all work in progress, at every age. And we also love the fact that she’s showing everyone what 45 looks like, and how fabulous it is.
