Jennifer Lopez's Madison Square Garden concert cut short, rescheduled after power outage

Jennifer Lopez's Manhattan concert got cut short Saturday after a city-wide power outage. But don't worry, JLo fans: She'll finish what she started.

Jennifer Lopez's Madison Square Garden concert got cut short Saturday night after a massive, New York City-wide power outage. But don't worry, JLo fans: The singer has plans to return to the city to finish what she started.

Concertgoers said the show went dark about 9:30 p.m. ET in the middle of Lopez’s fourth song of the night. The arena was evacuated and Lopez took to social media to apologize to fans, promising she would make things up to them.

“I am devastated and heartbroken right now," she said in a selfie video. "I just don’t even know what to say. I just want you guys to know that you’re going to get your money’s worth – that we are going to come back and do an amazing show for you. I am so sorry that this happened."

She praised the event staff for keeping fans safe and calm: "Obviously, it was beyond all of our control. The building handled it really well. They did the best thing for everyone's safety. So I love you, I'm sorry and I will see you all very soon."

Later Saturday night, JLo announced that, provided power returns to Madison Square Garden in time, she would reschedule the performance for Monday night.

"Gonna take more than a city-wide blackout to shut us down!" she tweeted, promising fans "the most amazing celebration."

Madison Square Garden's official website has been updated to confirm that tickets from Saturday night's show will be honored Monday at 8 p.m.
