Jennifer Lopez’s Super Bowl halftime show look upsets PETA: ‘Dozens of birds were KILLED for this’

Jennifer Lopez’s Versace look is once again causing a ruckus. This time, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is calling out the star for the feathered cape she wore during part of her performance Sunday at Super Bowl LIV in Miami. The upscale design house arranged the colored feathers to form an American flag on one side and a flag of Puerto Rico, the country of Lopez’s heritage, on the other. Lopez wore the piece as her daughter, Emme, sang a portion of Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the U.S.A.” in a moment meant to be about her cultural pride and a comment on the immigrant experience.
