Jennifer Lopez Admits She 'Fangirled Out' Meeting Joanna Gaines: 'I'm Obsessed with Fixer Upper'

If Alex Rodriguez’s anniversary present to Jennifer Lopez is any indication, this relationship is in no need of fixing.

Lopez, 49, is a self-professed superfan of the hit HGTV series Fixer Upper — and the star revealed she could barely contain her excitement when Rodriguez surprised her with a FaceTime call with the show’s star Joanna Gaines.

“We got a little fixer upper next to the water, and we were like, ‘Oh, we gotta fix this up, it’s really a house that needs work,’” Lopez explained on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Wednesday. “I was like, wouldn’t it be amazing to have (Gaines) do it for us? But she doesn’t do anything outside of Waco (Texas), like nothing.”

The “I’m Real” singer had all but accepted she wouldn’t be receiving design help from Gaines when Rodriguez, 43, requested her presence at a meeting about the house.

“He opens up FaceTime and it’s Joanna Gaines. And I was like, ‘Are you kidding?! Hi!’ I totally fangirled out,” she recalled. “And she was like, ‘Hi,’ just like she is on the show.”

Lopez said the surprise “really blew (her) away,” and that while Gaines admitted she didn’t typically offer this kind of help, she’d weigh in the couple’s design decisions.

“I was like, ‘Yes just help me! A little bit! Like, you don’t even have to come out here, you have the baby, how’s the baby?’” she said. “It was amazing.”

Gaines, 40, and husband Chip – who announced in November they’ll be returning to TV after Fixer Upper’s end in April – welcomed their fifth child, son Crew, in June.

Meanwhile, DeGeneres also offered up the high-profile couple a special anniversary gift of her own: a massive clock featuring a photo of Lopez and Rodriguez locking lips to “remind him that time is ticking” in terms of an engagement.

The former Yankee slugger was on hand to support Lopez at the Grammy Awards Sunday, where he played the role of ultimate Instagram boyfriend and snapped red carpet photos of his lady love.

Lopez performed as part of the show’s Motown tribute.
