Jennifer Lopez Is Reportedly ‘Furious’ Over Those Recent Photos of Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner

And recently, Jennifer Lopez found herself at the center of a media storm following some intimate photos of her boyfriend, Ben Affleck, and his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. According to sources, Lopez is reportedly ‘furious’ over these recent photos.

The photos in question captured Affleck and Garner having a cozy moment together in one of their cars, sparking speculations about their relationship. For those who don’t know, Garner and Affleck started dating publicly in October 2004, just about nine months after Affleck and Lopez broke off their engagement. By April 2005, Garner and Affleck were engaged, and in December, Garner gave birth to her and Affleck’s first daughter, Violet, now 17. While both Affleck and Garner have maintained that they are just friends and co-parents, sources claim that J-Lo is not entirely convinced.

“J-Lo’s absolutely furious and feels like she’s been blindsided by these pictures. Ben’s been insisting they were completely innocent – and J-Lo does believe him – but he’s also been unrepentant. He keeps saying Jennifer’s like his sister at this point and if J-Lo’s going to get jealous and throw tantrums over a harmless cuddle, then the problem’s on her. It’s a real war of attrition here that’s threatening to blow up,” a source told Closer Online.

The source’s claim feels somewhat blown out of proportion, considering J-Lo and Gardner have been forming their own friendship through co-parenting since 2022. Lopez shares twins Maximilian and Emme, now 15, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and the “Jenny from the Block” singer has gushed about how wonderful her blended family is.

Ultimately, the source claims that J-Lo isn’t upset that Ben still maintains a friendship with Gardner, but still is nervous because of how quickly her first relationship with Affleck was followed by his romance with Gardner.

“J-Lo doesn’t begrudge Ben from having a friendship with Jennifer. She knows they have a tight bond, she doesn’t ultimately suspect he’d want to go back to her and of course she recognizes they’ll always have a need to stay in contact because of their children – it’s the exact same situation as hers is with Marc. But she makes the point that you’ll never see her cuddling up in a car with her ex, it’s simply not on and he’s sending a very strange message to the world in general if he thinks differently,” the source continued.

Lopez is reportedly laying out some ground rules for future meetings between the friendly exes, the source told the publication. “For her, there needs to be strict ground rules moving forward. She intends to bring this up in therapy as well, and Ben won’t get her to drop it by being stubborn. She says if the shoe were on the other foot, he’d be livid too – and she’s probably not wrong!”
