Jennifer Lopez’s Recent Answer To A Question About Ben Affleck Hints at the Couple’s New Media Strategy

Jennifer Lopez is singing out loud that “Love Make the World Go Round” with the re-release of her duet with Lin-Manuel Miranda, but she’s keeping her lips sealed about her rekindled relationship with Ben Affeck. Even to friends like Hoda Kotb — well, at least on televised interviews.
Lopez and Miranda chatted with Kotb on a Today segment that aired on Tuesday to promote the song they first created as a tribute to the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando in 2016. Of course, the duet isn’t the only thing Lopez has recently brought back from her past, and Kotb made sure to get a question in about her new love with her old beau.

After telling Miranda to “busy yourself with whatever business, if you need to text somebody,” because she needed to “have a little girl talk with my girl,” Kotb told Lopez she looked “happy … happier.”
“I’m always happy when you see me, Hoda!” Lopez coyly.

“Every time I see a picture of you and Ben, I’m like, she looks happier. She looks happier. Are we happier?!” Kotb asked Lopez with a lot of wink-wink, nudge-nudge in her tone.
After a long pause, Lopez finally responded, matter of factly deflecting the question with a measured smile:
“The song is out, five years since we’ve done it. And I believe that that message of loving one another and coming together and love, is never more relevant than it is right now.”
Aw, man! We thought Kotb might actually have a chance to get Lopez to say something. And so did she, apparently.
“Wait, it’s me you’re talking to, you know that,” Kotb replied, incredulously.
“I know,” Lopez said. “You can call me. You have my number!”
“Well, we tried,” Kotb concluded in a voice over.
Later in the interview, Kotb appeared to try to get Lopez to let something slip, asking the singer about how she’ll be celebrating her upcoming 52nd birthday on July 24.
“I don’t know. You know, with friends. Have fun,” Lopez stumbled through her answer. “You know, raise a glass. Have a toast!”
Oooh, sounds to us like she might be expecting some romantic birthday plans with Affleck. We’re sure the paparazzi are staying tuned.
