When it comes to celebrity exes, you can’t get much more chill than Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. They split in 2011 after seven years of marriage and three years after the birth of their twins, Emme Maribel Muniz and Maximillian David Muniz. Fast forward to the present, and it’s clear the two have maintained the connection that kicked off their powerhouse romance all those years ago: friendship. Co-parenting goals? Yep, that’s them.

The Latin superstars first met backstage at Paul Simon’s Broadway show The Capeman in the ‘90s. From there, they developed a platonic relationship that would see them collaborating on music together, being photographed hanging out and seeing each other through breakups — waiter Ojani Noa, Diddy, Chris Judd and Ben Affleck for her, and Miss Universe Dayanara Torres for him. Shortly after his divorce from Torres was finalized though, J.Lo and Anthony said “I do” on June 5, 2004. Twins Emme and Max joined the fam on Feb. 22, 2008.

Now, Lopez is famously engaged to Alex Rodriguez. Anthony has most recently been linked to model Jessica Lynne Harris. But Lopez and Anthony never lose sight of the fact that they, along with Max and Emme, are their own special family unit. Based on how often they get together for the sake of their kids and how lovingly they still talk about each other, they could basically teach a master class on how to effectively co-parent.

For Father’s Day in 2019, Lopez posted a special shout-out for Anthony on her IG feed. Naturally, it included pics of their tight-knit squad.

For Mother’s Day, Lopez shared a series of photos of her with Emme and Max. “Being a mom is my greatest joy and happiness… my biggest challenge and my greatest triumph,” she wrote.

Anthony wished his dad a happy birthday in 2019 by sharing a rare photo of him and the kids with his dad. Winning smiles definitely run in this family, don’t you think?

Not only is Rodriguez cool with Lopez being friends with her ex, he’s also friends with Anthony! The whole blended family frequently spends quality time together, like this 2019 outing in Miami.

Lopez may not be in this pic of Anthony, the twins and his other children, but she apparently took it. Lopez shared it on her IG feed back in 2017, writing, “Just what the doctor ordered… surrounded by love.”

Lopez and the twins came out in full support of Anthony during a 2016 tour stop. He had his entire extended family there too, once again going to prove this former pair always puts family first.

Starring in No. 1 movies? Performing at the Super Bowl? Routine TV appearances? Sure, those are all grand and glamorous. But if you give Lopez the choice, she’s going to snuggle up with Emme and Max.

The twins’ seventh birthday gave the foursome an excuse to hang out for the day. Judging by the smiles on their faces, it was a day filled with fun and, most importantly, an abundance of love.

Despite being one of the busiest women in Hollywood, Lopez always squeezes in downtime with her two favorite people. And, c’mon, these three take the best selfies, right?
