Love don’t cost a thing.

In the wake of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ homes being raided on Monday, his old relationship with Jennifer Lopez is back in the spotlight.

Combs, 54, and Lopez, 54, dated for two years, from 1999 to 2001.

Lopez once revealed how Combs was the first man to cheat on her, telling Vibe magazine in 2003 that their relationship “was the first time I was with someone who wasn’t faithful. I was in this relationship with Puff where I was totally crying, crazy and going nuts, it really took my whole life in a tailspin.”

Lopez has since reunited with and married her other old flame, Ben Affleck.

But, in her 2024 documentary “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” she spoke about past abusive relationships — and fans have speculated that she was referring to Combs.

“There were people in my life who said ‘I love you’ and then didn’t do things that were kind of in line with the word ‘love.’ Being thrown around and manhandled like that is not fun,” Lopez said in the documentary, without naming which ex she was referring to.

“I mean, I was never in a relationship where I got beat up, thank God, but I’ve definitely been manhandled and a couple of other unsavory things. Rough. Disrespectful.”

Fans on Reddit speculated, “Considering a bunch of allegations of P.Diddy are coming out … I wonder if there’s a connection between to speaking out publicly now. Either way I hope she’s doing better now!”

A source has denied to the Daily Mail that she was referring to Diddy.

The Post reached out to Lopez and Combs for comment.

Diddy has faced numerous allegations of rape and abuse, which he has denied.

Law enforcement sources told The Post that feds moved in to raid Diddy’s homes Monday because they wanted to seize his phones and computers, as part of an ongoing investigation.

Sources told Rolling Stone that at least four Jane Does and one John Doe have been interviewed by New York prosecutors in connection to the sex-trafficking allegations and a racketeer-influenced and corrupt organizations case, also known as a RICO case.

The hip-hop mogul is being investigated for sex trafficking, according to law enforcement sources, allegations which his attorney, Aaron Dyer, blasted as a “witch hunt.”

“Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences,” Dyer told TMZ on Tuesday.

“This unprecedented ambush — paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence — leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits,” Dyer added.

Diddy was not arrested or charged “but spoke to and cooperated with authorities,” his lawyer said. His travel has not been restricted in any way, he added.

Diddy and Lopez were famously arrested together in 1999.

On Dec. 27 that year, Combs and Lopez were partying at Club New York when shots were fired at a fight that Diddy was involved in, leading to injuries to three clubgoers.

Combs and Lopez left the scene in his car and got pulled over after running a light. Police found a gun in the car, which led to the couple getting arrested.

Now-retired NYPD Detective Derrick Parker was at the Midtown South precinct when they were brought in.

“There were all these high-profile lawyers barricaded in the stationhouse waiting to talk to the desk officer,” he recalled to The Post.

He alleged: “They had J.Lo handcuffed to a pole.”

“She was crying all over the place, in the squad room,” a police source told the Daily News at the time. “She was just upset about the whole thing.”

Lopez was absolved after reportedly being detained for 14 hours.

Combs was indicted on two counts of criminal possession of an unregistered gun and attempted bribery for allegedly trying to get his bodyguard, Anthony Jones, to claim the weapon was his, but he was later acquitted.

Talking to “CBS News Sunday Morning” in 2019, Lopez called her relationship with Combs “a crazy, heightened time” in her life.

“You know, Puffy and I both grew up in the Bronx,” she said, referring to one of Diddy’s former monikers, “Puff Daddy.”

She continued, “He had been in the music business and had all this success. I was just starting and making my first album when I met him. He became kind of a mentor to me in that moment. We had this kind of crazy, tumultuous relationship that ended in a bang. It was definitely a moment, but I felt like it was necessary. He was meant to be in my life at that moment to teach me what I needed to know about the music business, about what kind of artist I wanted to be in the music industry.”

In 2003, she told Vibe magazine that she left him because “I had to think, ‘Do I want to be home with kids in 10 years wondering where somebody is at 3 in the morning?’ ”

When asked if it was true that she used to knock on hotel room doors, searching for him amid his alleged infidelity, she said, “I can’t remember right now, but I won’t say it didn’t happen. I never caught him [cheating], but I just knew. He’d say he was going to a club for a couple of hours and then never come back that night.”
