Jennifer Lopez Gives Her Stamp of Approval for 'Cats' and 'Hustlers' Trailer Mash-up

A (genius) film editor has taken the trailer for "Cats" and combined it with the upcoming "Hustlers" film and Jennifer Lopez wants to see it happen as soon as possible.

The Broadway musical-turned-feature-film trailer dropped Thursday to mixed reactions from fans. The film, based on the long-running Broadway show, is set to hit theaters this December.

It hails an all-star cast including James Corden, Judi Dench, Idris Elba, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Hudson.

Some, however, are calling the first look at the film adaptation a horror-inducing visual, with the internet being flooded with memes mocking the CGI-filled trailer.

R. Eric Thomas of Elle penned a tongue-in-cheek piece "The Five Stages of Dealing with the 'Cats' Trailer" — in which he hilariously breaks down the visual masterpiece.

But Los Angeles based film editor Wes Nisbett has taken it one step further. Taking to his YouTube page, Nisbett shared his creative interpretation of "Cats" — with a few extra "hooks".

While one creative mind replaced the trailer's score with the soundtrack to Jordan Peele's thriller "Us", Nisbett's masterpiece interpretation takes on a different tone. By splicing in elements from the upcoming "Hustlers" film — starring Jennifer Lopez, Lizzo, Lili Reinhart and Cardi B — let's just say, we definitely want to see this version ASAP.

It wasn't long after that the "Hustlers" official account took notice, retweeting "This is purrfect."

Soon after, JLo herself gave her stamp of approval on her own twitter account by sharing the post.
