Jennifer Lopez Campaigns for Boyfriend Alex Rodriguez to Be the Next New York Yankees Manager
Jennifer Lopez is trying to hook her boyfriend up with his next job.
The 48-year-old singer took to Twitter on Thursday to campaign for Alex Rodriguez to be the next manager of the New York Yankees.
"It couldn't be clearer," she tweeted, adding, "#arodforyankeesmanager."
The former Yankees star may be a good fit for the team, who parted ways with longtime manager Joe Girardi this year. Girardi was with the team since 2008 and won a World Series, but according to reports, the Yankees are looking for someone who can better connect with players.
While Rodriguez is the one with the sports background, he told ET in September that Lopez has made a great coach in their life together.
"She's a good coach to have," he gushed of his ladylove, admitting that they've become nearly inseparable. "I think we're just best friends. We just love spending time together. Our kids love each other, so it's a good thing."
"It's what it's all about," he continued. "It's a good time for us, and it's great to be supporting and loving towards each other."
