Dune, a futuristic science-fiction epic based on author Frank Herbert's 1965 novel, stars Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, a young man from a noble family who begins to discover his part in various conspiracies and prophecies on the planet Arrakis.

The series' first movie, released in 2021, leaves Chalamet's character Paul after his family is massacred by the villainous Harkonnen family. The new movie picks up after he and his mother Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) align with the planet's native people, the Fremen (played by Zendaya and Javier Bardem, among others), to help free them from oppression and take revenge.

The movie has grown popular for its epic scale and intense action, as well as themed popcorn buckets created by AMC Theatres that are now selling for hundreds of dollars online. The souvenir buckets are designed to look like the giant sandworms that inhabit Dune's planet Arrakis, creating an uneasy path toward acquiring popcorn.
