Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck Might Have To Host Separate Christmases for This Unexpected Reason

It should be a very merry Christmas for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck with their blended families, but it seems there might be a little conflict at the dinner table. Their kids are all getting along just fine, but apparently, both sets of in-laws are struggling to find common ground — and now, it might require separate holiday celebrations.

“They both want their moms to fly in and spend time together, but Christine [Affleck] has never really gelled with Lupe [Lopez], so they’ve always been tactfully kept apart,” a source told OK! magazine. And it’s not just Ben’s mom who is allegedly “wary” of his marriage to J.Lo, it’s also his brother, Casey Affleck. “To be fair, Casey isn’t too keen on Jennifer either,” they added. Ouch, this isn’t going to be a very jolly holiday for the A-list couple.

It’s sounds like there are a lot of personalities in the mix which makes it “a recipe for chaos” in the Affleck-Lopez household. “Jennifer and Ben have this [vision] of the perfect Christmas, with in-laws toasting and hugging. But the reality is far from it,” the insider lamented. The biggest holdout in this situation might be Casey, who reportedly finds Ben and J.Lo’s relationship “superficial.” He was notably missing from the couple’s 2022 wedding, so it sounds like there is no love lost between him and J.Lo.

“Ben and Jen are at the center of the whole L.A. social scene, which Casey finds frivolous and has really divorced himself from,” the source shared. “Casey is allergic to the circus Ben’s life has become, and it’s just not a world he knows or cares to navigate. He and [girlfriend] Caylee [Cowan] won’t be double-dating with Bennifer anytime soon!” Ben and J.Lo are just like all of us — family relations are always challenging to navigate, especially at the holidays.
