Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez Share Romantic New Engagement Pictures
Need a little reminder this week that love is alive and well in the world? Well, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez just shared new engagement pics, and they’re sure to melt even the most jaded heart. The couple got engaged over the weekend while on vacation in the Bahamas. Initially, they announced the happy news with a singular photo showing off Lopez’s stunning engagement ring. Now, Lopez and Rodriguez are giving a behind-the-scenes look at the actual proposal.
In the first photo, Rodriguez is on bended knee on the beach with a ring box in his hand. Lopez, in a flowy off-white bathing suit cover-up, is standing before him. In the next photo, he is seen placing a ring on the finger of a visibly overjoyed Lopez. Subsequent photos show Lopez bending down to kiss her now-fiancé, as well as one of the couple embracing after the proposal. Lopez shared the sweet series of photos on Instagram, captioning the post with the date Rodriguez popped the question. Rodriguez also took to social media to commemorate the occasion, sharing a different angle of him sliding the ring on Lopez’s finger.

Lopez also addressed the pair’s happy news in her Instagram Stories, speaking to the couple’s loved ones and fans. “There aren’t many words to share with you, only feelings. Gratitude. Excitement. And just… joy,” Lopez wrote, referring to herself and Rodriguez. “We know there is work to do to keep building a family and future we can be proud of, and we can’t do it without all of you. We are so thankful for all your messages of love and congratulations.”
Although Lopez and Rodriguez have been dating since February 2017 (and fans frequently wondered when they might get married), a source told ET that Lopez didn’t see the proposal coming.
“Jennifer was shocked as the two talked about marriage, but she wasn’t aware he’d be proposing that day,” the source claimed. “Both Alex and Jennifer have been married before, and official wedding planning hasn’t started, but the two do want to celebrate the day with their family and famous friends.”
As gorgeous as the new engagement photos are, we really can’t wait to see photos from the sweet family’s big day — whenever that may be.
