Do you hear that? It’s the future clang of wedding bells — and they’re getting louder by the minute because a new report about Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez’s wedding plans suggests these two will be married soon rather than later. And J.Lo may have nailed the Super Bowl halftime performance on Sunday, but something tells us her nuptials will be an even bigger production. Can you even imagine the looks she’ll serve that day?
Although it kind of feels as though Lopez and Rodriguez have always been together, the couple has been officially linked for around three years in real-time. They were first “confirmed” in March 2017, and they went public with their romance two months later at the Met Gala. Rodriguez proposed last March during a dreamy vacation in the Bahamas. At the time, he shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos showing A-Rod pop the question (adorably, he later admitted that he’d been rehearsing the moment for six months!).

According to Us Weekly, Rodriguez and Lopez are “getting married this summer” — and, we have some new intel on who’s making the guest list. “The couple is all love, and will be inviting their exes,” a source told Entertainment Tonight, adding: “The wedding will be gorgeous, but not huge. The couple wants it to be a fun celebration of love with their closest family and friends. Both of their children will play a big part in the wedding.”

So, which exes are we talking about here? Since their children are mentioned, we assume the father of Lopez’s twins Max and Emme, Marc Anthony, will be in attendance. Likewise, the mother of Rodriguez’s children Cynthia Scurtis will likely get an invite. And we’re very excited to see what role their kids will play — maybe Emme will perform for them?!
Other reports also seem to confirm the timeline for this summer, noting that it may very well be at a venue considered a destination wedding locale, such as “the Bahamas, the Hamptons, Hawaii or even a private island.” As for the planning itself, a source tells Life and Style that Lopez is aiming for that “fine line between classy and over-the-top,” she’s working with “high-end planners and lifestyle experts to weigh up options.”
“Money’s no object whatsoever,” the source added, “and she’s willing to wait if it guarantees her the ultimate guest list.”
Judging by Rodriguez’s response to his future wife’s Super Bowl showing, that day cannot come soon enough. He basically fanboyed out, gushing over Lopez on social media, in interviews and, well, anywhere else he could sing her praises. “AMAZING!! She ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED IT! Wow, that was so fun!” he wrote on Instagram, adding, “I’m so proud of you, Jen!”
