It’s called the Magic City for a reason! During their recent trip to Miami, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made friends with another power couple: Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez. And while this dream double date undoubtedly entailed many conversational topics, the foursome reportedly spent the majority of their time together bonding over something especially sweet: their kids.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex ran into J.Lo and A-Rod when they all attended an event at Miami Beach’s 1 Hotel last week. “Meghan and Harry spent time with Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez while they were all in Miami,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “The couples were attending a summit by J.P. Morgan on Thursday and during the activities were able to spend quality time together.” Understandably, there was a lot of gushing over Harry and Meghan’s 9-month-old son Archie, as well as Lopez’s 11-year-old twins Max and Emme and Rodriguez’s daughters, Natasha, 15, and Ella, 11. “The couples talked about all the major events going on in their lives and most of it was about their children,” added the source.

A summit-goer confirmed this to Page Six, saying, “Harry and Meghan got on really well with Jennifer and Alex, and spent some time chatting with them over dinner. J.Lo was overheard inviting the couple and heir baby Archie to her and Alex’s house in Miami to spend time with them and their kids.”

Both sets of parents have had an exciting start to 2020. Lopez is fresh off of her show-stopping Super Bowl performance and in the thick of an awards show season that has included a few nods for her work in Hustlers. Harry and Meghan have been transitioning to life outside of their roles in the royal family, making a home for their little family in Canada.

In fact, Harry and Meghan’s appearance at the J.P. Morgan Investment Summit was part of that newfound independence. The couple reportedly received an engagement fee for speaking at the event (the amount is unconfirmed, but several outlets are reporting it to be between $500k and $700k).

During his speech — his first since announcing they were rescinding their royal titles — Harry addressed “Megxit,” underscoring he doesn’t regret the decision. Rather, he and Meghan don’t want Archie to be raised with the scrutiny, pressure and relentless attention from the British media that he and his brother, Prince William, grew up with.

Here’s hoping the couple made a meaningful connection with Lopez and Rodriguez at the summit. Life outside of the monarchy could surely only be made more fun by having J-Rod in their corner.
