Jennifer Lawrence's Dior Wedding Dress Got Its Own Hotel Room Before the Ceremony

Jennifer Lawrence’s Dior wedding dress reportedly scored its own private hotel room ahead of her swanky Rhode Island nuptials on Saturday — and, TBH, we feel a little jealous of the couture garment. But who can blame Lawrence for wanting to ensure her dream gown stayed safe and secure until she could make it down the aisle? The 29-year-old Dior ambassador (and bride!) wasn’t taking any chances.

Happily, Lawrence and her gown both made it down the aisle to say “I do” to art dealer Cooke Maroney on Saturday. Ahead of the ceremony, though, the custom couture enjoyed its own heightened security measures. Per People, the entire Dior design team flew in from Paris the day before the wedding and “held her dress in a private guest room at the Hotel Viking.” When it was time for Lawrence to get ready? “The entire Dior team loaded the dress in the car the morning of the wedding,” People’s source revealed.

Although portraits — or any other clearly discernible shots — of Lawrence in her Dior wedding dress have yet to surface, we already know the gown is special. Speaking with Catt Sadler on the Naked with Catt Sadler podcast in June, the Hunger Games star admitted picking her dress may have been one of the easier parts of planning the nuptials. “I saw a dress I liked, and I was like, ‘That’s the dress,'” she said.

Lawrence, in her specially safeguarded Dior, officially got hitched to Cooke Maroney in front of 150 guests at Rhode Island’s luxurious Belcourt of Newport estate. Originally designed in 1894 by renowned architect Richard Morris Hunt, the mansion is now owned by Alex and Ani CEO Carolyn Rafaelian. Not surprisingly, it proved to be a star-studded event — celebrity guests included Adele, Amy Schumer, Emma Stone, Kris Jenner, Josh Hutcherson, Ashley Olsen and more.

It’s unclear whether Lawrence changed into a separate dress for the reception… and, if she did, whether that gown got the first-class private-room treatment, too. But since she and Maroney partied until 5:30 a.m. with their guests and chowed down on food truck fare, it seems like a possibility. Either way, we’re sure she looked stunning, and we can’t wait to see photos of J.Law (or should we say J.Maroney?) in her super-safeguarded Dior wedding dress.
