Jennifer Lawrence Says Amy Schumer Should Win Golden Globe, Not Her
Golden Globe nominee Jennifer Lawrence stopped by Late Night With Seth Meyers and said that if she could, she would vote for fellow nominee and current bestie, Amy Schumer. Both actresses are nominated in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy — Amy for Trainwreck, Jennifer for Joy.
Lawrence said, “Her performance was the year. It was, and I’m not … she was the year, she was the avatar.” She also said that Amy made it all happen herself, “She drew the map, she wrote it out, she put herself on it, and then she showed us the map.”
And while Jennifer is supporting her friend, she said the feeling may not be mutual, “I think she thinks she should win too.”
