Bonjour, spring fashion!

After stunning in a plunging three-piece suit at Paris Fashion Week, Jennifer Lawrence, 33, served up another très élégant look on February 29, all thanks to a lovely little shirt jacket, or shacket from Jil Sander. The $2,390 beige topper balanced out the rest of her wintry ’fit with a bit of brightness, serving as a needed reminder that spring is, indeed, on its way.

Though we’re regularly spotting celebs in the style in colder months, like Jennifer Garner’s plaid shacket, Blake Lively’s down-to-earth denim, and recently, Chrissy Teigen’s army green one, it was refreshing to see one closer to spring — and it makes sense.

Shackets are lighter than true coats, but still warm for wind, rain, or seasonal weather. You can also layer accordingly with a sweater or T-shirt when it’s cold or hot. And the light beige color of Lawrence’s makes even more of a case for shackets in spring.

Apart from springy shades, you’ll also want to focus on the material: J.Law’s shacket was wool, but remember, she wore it in February. As we’re now closer to the middle of March, it’s probably best to start the transition to linen or cotton styles, since they’re more lightweight and breathable.

This one from Max Studio, for example, is 100 percent cotton, so you should be able to wear it to the pool or outdoor sports games without overheating. It also comes in a beachy ecru color that automatically kicks it up a style notch, and it has a cargo-like construction with two chest pockets that you can pack with snacks, cash, or perhaps, spring break essentials.

This shacket from Amazon has waffle-knit detailing that resembles what you might see on a cardigan. It also looks a bit more supple, so it shouldn’t be overly stiff or formal next to a pair of sweatpants or leggings. Beige and white are clear-cut choices for spring, but others like sage green and pale pink feel right, too.

“This is the perfect lightweight top for spring,” one shopper said. “It’s a comfortable material, not thick like some shackets, and [it] has an oversized look.”

For something with some more frills, head to Target to grab the JoyLab French Terry Button-Down Shacket. It has squiggly fabric on both sides of the buttons and appears pink-ish, according to a few shoppers. Available in sizes XS to XXL, it’s a more feminine option to have close.

Jennifer Lawrence’s character was dubbed the “Girl on Fire” in The Hunger Games, and it’s definitely still applicable through her conversation-sparking outfits. Keep scrolling to shop more spring shackets inspired by the star now.
