Jennifer Lawrence Gives Her NYC Uniform a Hint of Prep

Jennifer Lawrence’s mood board for her latest fit probably included J.Crew prep, Adidas athleisure, sleek New Yorker street style, and a hint of sunny L.A.

The actor was photographed in the off-duty look while out for a walk in New York City on Wednesday. Though the multilayer outfit is a lot to break down, the overall vibe of it nodded to the sporty-prep aesthetic popular among It girls, Hollywood nepo babies, and nine-to-five girlies alike.

Two staples Lawrence wore that fall into this category include a sweet green cashmere cardigan with white buttons, and Adidas’s classic black track pants with the brand’s three stripes in white on the sides.

J.Law wore the cardigan over a frilly beige tank that peeked out under it, and over the sweater layered on a long black leather blazer (a similar style, by Aeron, is on sale at Farfetch). She stayed comfortable in a pair of black and white Vans sneakers, wore her bronde hair straight down, and went makeup-free.

The No Hard Feelings star—and queen of lazy-girl spring—capped off her casual look with several New Yorker must-haves designed to, essentially, make it easy to avoid interacting with others: giant square tortoiseshell sunglasses, Apple AirPods, and a baseball hat—hers a black Shania Twain cap with the singer’s name in huge yellow letters.

Lawrence has been spotted out and about in New York City the past few weeks, as she works on her many upcoming projects, including a true-story drama called Burial Rites, and a new adaptation of John Steinbeck’s 1952 novel East of Eden.
