Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney’s Wedding Will Be a ‘Family Affair’: Source

Wedding bells are in the air for Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney.

Three months after the 28-year-old actress’ art dealer boyfriend popped the question, they could be scoping out locations for an engagement celebration — or pre-wedding festivities. An insider tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue that the pair checked out two New York City luxury hotels in early April.

A second source calls Lawrence a “family girl,” adding, “I would be surprised if the wedding were not a fairly extensive family affair.”

The Red Sparrow star and Maroney, 34, have been seen out and about on dinner dates in New York City since PEOPLE confirmed they were dating in June, and even showed some PDA at a New York Rangers in November. The two were seen at Raoul’s, an upscale French restaurant on Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood, for what seemed to be a celebratory engagement dinner in early February.

“It was a giant rock. They seemed like they were celebrating and people were talking about it,” a source said at the time of the outing. “The ring was very noticeable.”

New York City-based jeweler Alison Lou designed the enormous sparkler, which features an emerald-cut stone that sits on a thin gold band, PEOPLE confirmed last month.
