"I don't think it's ever too late to learn," the singer said on Tuesday's episode of 'The Jennifer Hudson Show'

Jennifer Hudson is learning from the best!

The EGOT winner got together with Ryan Lochte for an expert swim lesson on Tuesday’s episode of her daytime talk series, The Jennifer Hudson Show.

Hudson, 42, confessed to Lochte, 39, that the lesson was long overdue as she joined the 12-time Olympic medalist for a session in a hotel pool.

“This past summer I was surrounded by water, and there was nothing I could do,” she shared. “I don’t think it’s ever too late to learn.”

“No, it’s never too late,” Lochte agreed. “And my love and passion for the water, it’s like my happy place.”

“See, I want my happy place in the water,” Hudson responded.

Before jumping in, the talk-show host, who was dressed in a pink robe, made sure viewers got to see her swimming outfit in full.

“I’m taking this real serious — y’all see what I’m working with?” Hudson said as she revealed a black wetsuit underneath. Lochte also dropped his pants as he showed off his American-flag-print fitted swim trunks.

“First things first: I want you to start falling in love with the water. Get comfortable with it,” Lochte told the Dreamgirls actress as she started off blowing bubbles and kicking her legs in the pool.

Lochte shared during the lesson that “teaching people to swim is what I want to do,” and added that “it doesn’t matter what age you are — anyone can learn how to swim.”

The swimming champion then put goggles on Hudson as he instructed her to swim the width of the pool. After completing that, she joked, “I’m going to the Olympics!”

Lochte then urged the singer to swim the length of the pool. After a couple of unsuccessful tries, Hudson made it to the other end without stopping, punching the air in excitement afterward.

“You overcame your fear; you wanted to give up, but you kept pushing. That is a perfect lesson that you can use even in life,” Lochte said to her, adding, "You just kick ass!”

The American Idol alum then swam back as Lochte and her best friend Walter Williams — who acted as a lifeguard during the lesson — cheered.

“Jennifer Hudson is officially a swimmer!” Lochte shouted. “Watch out, guys — 2028 Olympics! Jennifer, here she comes!"
