Jennifer Garner has a lot of love for her costar Alias Victor Garber.

The 13 Going on 30 star, 51, shared on Instagram Sunday that she had stepped out to the theater to see her close friend and former TV father perform in the Off-Broadway play Love Letters.

"If you are my person and you are on stage I’ll do what I can to see you. ♥️ @therealvictorgarber is my person," she wrote alongside a photo with Garber at the Irish Repertory Theatre in New York City.

"And on stage with incredible [J. Smith Cameron] =⭐️♥️👏," Garner added, shouting out the Succession actress , who starred alongside Garber in the A. R. Gurney play about two friends who exchange letters over a lifetime.

Garber, 74, posted the same photo of the pair on his own Instagram page on Sunday, adding the caption: "Last night a surprise visit at Irish Rep Theatre."

He added, "Today is the last performance for me and J. Smith Cameron. Thank you Irish Rep for this wonderful opportunity. XX" (Brooke Shields and John Slattery are set to headline this Wednesday through Sunday in the show, which has featured a rotating roster of stars.)

Garner popped into the comments of Garber's post to praise the actor and give a knowing wink to fans of her 2001–2006 ABC CIA drama.

"I wouldn’t miss seeing you on stage, my Spy Daddy," she wrote. "I love you, @therealvictorgarber. You and J. Smith were *chef’s kiss ♥️"

Sunday wasn't the first time Garner supported Garber's theater work. In 2018, she visited him backstage while he was appearing in the latest Broadway revival of Hello, Dolly! At the time, the duo posed for a photo with Garber's leading lady Bernadette Peters.

Garner and Garber recently shared the screen again in the Apple TV+ series The Last Thing He Told Me. The Yes Day star was so excited to be working with her friend again that she kept breaking character during filming.

"We've wanted to work together again, obviously, forever, and for [series co-creators] Josh Singer and Laura Dave to give us that chance was pretty exciting," Garner told Entertainment Weekly in April. "The only problem was, I couldn't stop smiling at him."

She said executive producer Josh Singer even had to take her aside and request that she button up her excitement on set.

"Josh kept coming and sneaking over and kind of whispering in my ear, 'You are Hannah. Stop smiling at him. You look like Jennifer. I've never seen you break character more than the way you are with Victor,'" she recalled. "I was just grinning ear to ear. I was so happy he was there."

Garner told EW that she and the rest of the limited series' team were determined to bring Garber into the project. "It was definitely premeditated," she explained. "I mean, Victor is still very much like my dad, I talk to him every Sunday. And I don't think you could convince him that he's not my actual father if you tried."

Garber shares the sentiment. "She's very maternal towards me, and I'm very paternal towards her," he previously told Us Weekly of Garner. "We have kind of an unbreakable bond, and I just feel so grateful for that 'cause I love her very much."

Last year, Garner shared another sweet photo of her and Garber on Instagram, capturing the pair leaning into each other with big smiles as they sat close together on a couch. "I spoke to @therealvictorgarber today and it made me miss him. I love you, SpyDaddy ♥️ #FBF" she wrote in the post's caption.

The two enjoy such a special bond that Garner invited Garber to officiate her wedding to ex-husband Ben Affleck in 2005. He also supported her in the wake of her 2015 split from the Air star, 51.

"She's dealing with a lot of stress and pain, and dealing with it in, I think, a magnificent way," Garber told ET at the time. "I've always found her to be incredibly authentic. It's part of why people, I think, are drawn to her, because she is real. She also has a great capacity for love. And so, all that said, she's dealing with the situation, I think, miraculously."
