Jennifer Garner Is Reportedly Weighing in on Ben Affleck & Jennifer Lopez’s Marriage Issues

Fans are weighing in with their opinions on Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marital troubles, but the couple isn’t listening to the noise. However, there is one person the Argo star might be listening to, someone who has faithfully remained by his side through his sobriety journey and beyond: ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

Garner is reportedly offering Affleck support when he needs it the most, and she’s rooting for him and Lopez to work things out. “Jennifer Garner is encouraging Ben to work on his marriage to Jen,” an insider shared with Us Weekly. “She fully supports their relationship and wants nothing more than for him to be happy.” The Yes Day actress was in a similar position when she was married to Affleck, and they were having their own struggles. It isn’t an easy position to be in, and it “can put a strain” on the union.

The marital reinforcement from Garner shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. When Affleck decided to rekindle his relationship with Lopez, his ex-wife was cheering them on. “This relationship has been very stabilizing for him, and that’s a huge weight off Jen’s shoulders because she doesn’t have to worry about Ben anymore,” a source told Hollywood Life in 2022. “He’s on track and taking care of himself. It’s a relief to her that he’s chosen a partner that’s a totally positive influence with great family values.”

Garner even leaned into the blended family created by Lopez and Affleck because their kids got along. It wasn’t unusual to see the mom of three take Lopez’s 16-year-old teen Emme to Disneyland with her middle child Fin, 15 — they’ve become BFFs and it’s created a bond between Garner and Lopez, too. “They have a mutual respect for each other as parents and know how well all their kids get along,” a source told Us Weekly earlier this year. “They want to foster and nurture those relationships and will do whatever it takes to show their support.”

Perhaps Garner will be the bridge that reminds Affleck and Lopez of the unique family they have built together after almost two decades apart. With the media frenzy surrounding their reported separation, it sounds like they could use all of the support they can get.
