The actress, 51, bundled up in The Big Apple earlier this week — well, sort of. Her mini skirt and sheer tights (We also just saw the latter on Taylor Swift!) were more accommodating for the mild fall and winter days, while her gray turtleneck sweater tracks for the most blustery days still to come. It covered her neck, looked thick and toasty, and just gave her outfit a sophisticated feel.

Plus, turtlenecks pretty much make a return every year: Within the last few months, Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Middleton, and Hilary Duff wore variations of turtleneck sweaters, while in 2022, we spotted Reese Witherspoon and Zendaya in them. And the year before that, Meghan Markle wore one for her family’s holiday card.
And the reason why they’re so timeless is because you can wear them in so many different ways. For example, Lawrence and Lopez recently wore theirs as standalone layers, while Middleton and Duff slipped them on under a blazer and coat, respectively.
