Jennifer Aniston Told She'd 'Never Make A Dime' As An Actress, Now Earns $2 Million An Episode
Jennifer Aniston has revealed that her own family predicted that she'd never make it as an actress. The 50-year-old Friends alum and global superstar made history by earning $1 million an episode during later seasons of the popular NBC sitcom and is now earning $2 million per episode on Apple TV's The Morning Show.
Jen has opened up to PEOPLE about her A-Lister career, with the feature including a mention of what the Horrible Bosses actress' family thought of her plans to pursue a Hollywood career.

Aniston reflected on her attitudes towards herself overall, recalling that she first really gained confidence in herself in her twenties.
“By getting honest with myself in terms of my relationship with my family,” she stated.
“Speaking my truth to them without fear and therefore my work reflected that. And then Friends came. If there were any naysayers in my family, ‘This will never… you’ll never make a dime.’ Just watch me. Don’t threaten me that way. God knows now I’m going to make a couple of dimes," the star added.
And those dimes sure did come. By Season 3 of Friends, Jennifer and her co-stars were earning $75,000 per episode. By the show's finale, the $1 million a pop was a well-known figure.
Not The Easiest Of Upbringings
The vibe wasn't the most encouraging as a young Aniston grappled with what direction her life should take.
Speaking to Elle last year, Aniston revealed that self-confidence didn't come easily with mom Nancy Dow raising her.
“She was from this world of, ‘Honey, take better care of yourself,’ or ‘Honey, put your face on,’ or all of those odd sound bites that I can remember from my childhood,” she said.
“My mom said those things because she really loved me. It wasn't her trying to be a b--ch or knowing she would be making some deep wounds that I would then spend a lot of money to undo. She did it because that was what she grew up with," Jen added.

Yes, Jennifer Aniston joining Instagram actually broke the platform. The star signed up for an account in October, breaking Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's record for gathering the most number of followers.
Within 24 hours, Jennifer had gained 10 million followers, with many receiving an error message as they attempted to reach the star's feed.
“Sorry, this page isn’t available," was the welcome for a few users, although the glitch was quickly fixed.
In fact, Aniston herself updated her account following the glitch with a mention of it- and an apology for breaking the digital space.

Aniston may best be known as an actress, but The Morning Show sees the star take on a producer role.
“Doing it, I mean we were really flying by the seat of our pants. Apple itself was building a streaming service so everyone was like, we’re all in this together and this is exhilarating and terrifying. But at the same time, it was unbelievably rewarding," Jen told People.
“Being a leader, being someone that people look up to for guidance, you have a lot of people to answer and take care of on many levels,” she added of her producer role.
'Friends' Reunion Already, Or What?
A Friends reunion is basically all the internet can talk about. Jen did tell Ellen DeGeneres that the famous six were "working on something" back in November, although she ruled out a reboot. The star's People feature did touch on the matter, but fans didn't get much.
Jen stated knowing “nothing. And I will just continue with… we’re trying. It’s a never-ending question, isn’t it? What else could make a group of six actors feel more proud? It’s bringing people joy on a daily basis," she concluded.
Well, Jen does have an Instagram account. A mass voicing for a Friends union could work (if enough of you did it).
