The "Wednesday" and "Scream" star voiced Brooklynn in the predecessor, "Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous."

A few stars of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous are confirmed to return for the sequel series, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, but one name in particular is missing.

After voicing Brooklynn for five seasons of the original CG-animated DreamWorks series on Netflix, Jenna Ortega will not return to her character for Chaos Theory, Entertainment Weekly has learned. Brooklynn does appear in the new trailer for the show that dropped on Tuesday, and while a new voice actor hasn't been confirmed, the footage does not bode well for the character.

Brooklynn seemingly dies by dinosaur attack by the time we pick up with the story, which weighs on Darius (Paul-Mikel Williams), who blames himself for not being there to help her. But according to Ben (Sean Giambrone), she was targeted. And now whoever was after Brooklynn is after the other members of the Nublar Six.

Ryan Potter, who voiced Kenji in Camp Cretaceous, is also not returning to the role for Chaos Theory. Instead, Netflix confirms Darren Barnet will voice Kenji. However, Raini Rodriguez will still be the voice of Sammy and Kausar Mohammed will still be the voice of Yasmina alongside Williams' Darius and Giambrone's Ben — all now six years older than they were at the end of Camp Cretaceous.

Ortega's work life has blown up since taking the spotlight in the Scream franchise and Wednesday. The actress recently left Scream 7 due to scheduling conflicts with her role as Wednesday Addams in the Netflix series, but she re-teamed with her Wednesday collaborator, filmmaker Tim Burton, to play the daughter of Winona Ryder's Lydia Deetz in the upcoming film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

The 10-episode season 1, premiering on Netflix this May 24, is set between the events of the films Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Jurassic World Dominion. Dinosaurs now roam the United States and the kids who were once fighting for their lives to get off Isla Nublar are struggling to adapt to the real world. The Nublar Six are forced back together on a global adventure to unravel a conspiracy that threatens dinosaurs and humankind.

"This is a conspiracy thriller," showrunner Scott Kreamer previously told EW. "The kids are unraveling this mystery, and just when they think they've got it figured out, maybe there's a bigger story to be told. These two guys have to figure out what the heck's going on before it's too late."
