Jenna Lyons Gives a New Update on Relationship with Her Girlfriend

Love's in the air for a certain Housewife!

Fashion goddess Jenna Lyons of The Real Housewives of New York City was spotted Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the J. Crew 40th Anniversary Celebration in the city’s Pier 17 venue. It’s no wonder since the New York Housewife was J. Crew’s President and Creative Executive Director from 2010 to 2017, which is partly why The New York Times once called her “The Woman Who Dresses America.”

The event predictably attracted some of fashion’s biggest names, but that wasn’t the only attraction there.

Instagram is abuzz as a photo of Jenna and her girlfriend, Cass Bird, locking lips on the dance floor continues circulating social media.

The image, as posted by Jenna, shows friend and stylist Sarah Clary curling her upper lip in the forefront of the photo, with the lovebirds kissing behind her.

Jenna captioned the photo, saying “I love you” to Clary with four fiery heart emojis.

Clary posted the same photo, wishing J. Crew a happy 40-year-anniversary.

“Some people I met and now love while wearing critter shorts and roll-neck sweaters,” Clary wrote.

It sounded like the perfect way to kick off New York Fashion Week (NYFW), which begins on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023.

Jenna and Cass Bird were photographed at the event for Vogue, standing side by side on the rooftop bar. Jenna donned a two-piece dress with shiny black fringe, an off-black blazer, and a pair of sunglasses.

Bird chose a comfy look, letting her gray locks flow down while she wore a simple black tee and black pants.

An all-star bash ahead of NYFW

When not locking lips, Jenna rubbed elbows with celebrities ready for NYFW. Academy Award-winning actress Diane Keaton, Dawson Creek’s Joshua Jackson, Grammy Award winner Leon Bridges, and Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink were just a few notable guests at the J. Crew shindig, as published in Vogue.

Victoria’s Secret Angel Jasmine Tookes also came in style, with MGM board chairman Kevin Ulrich smiling next to actor and comedian Adam Scott.

For her part, Jenna posted a video of herself cutting a rug with supermodel Joan Smalls as special guests, The Strokes, played their 2001 alt-anthem “Last Nite” live.

Clary also posted a clip to her Instagram Stories of Bird rocking out, showing Jenna’s other half lying in a chair and pumping her fist and leg in the air as The Strokes performed.

What to know about Cass Bird

Jenna revealed her relationship with Bird to The New York Times in June 2023.

On July 29 and 30, not long after confirming their union, Jenna posted a series of photos of the couple on a beautiful Greek getaway. Intimate beachside moments and excursions on the blue sea were just some of what was captured and posted to Jenna’s Instagram.

Bird’s Instagram features an impressive portfolio of her work with Elle, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and a host of other fashion-forward publications. With a quick scroll, viewers can see she’s captured just about every celebrity in existence, including recent photographs of Hailey Bieber, Reese Witherspoon, Margot Robbie, and Irina Shayk.

Just weeks ago, Jenna and Bird recently attended yet another star-studded event, this time for the wedding of Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff, with Taylor Swift in attendance.
