“Rome wanted to slick his hair like daddy 🥹😭,” Johnson wrote above the pic.

In the photo, Rome can be seen hanging out in a colorful animal-themed jumper with his slicked-back locks as he looks into the distance with wide eyes and chubby cheeks.

Johnson and Chmerkovskiy, who tied the knot in 2019, welcomed Rome, the first baby together, on Jan. 10.

Back in July, the new mom opened up about navigating their different parenting styles when asked in an Instagram Q&A if she and Chmerkovskiy have "different belief systems" and how they handle it.

"Yes!!! Being completely transparent, at first, it was very hard to navigate because we grew up completely different and in very different cultures," Johnson shared.

"I think we had to face the fact that we needed to have open and honest communication constantly so neither of us was offended or hurt by the other if we didn't see eye to eye on something. But!!! Now it is one of my favorite aspects about our relationship, that we are able to experience such a cultured life together and learn about one another's upbringing," she continued.

Johnson then explained that Rome "will have such a unique experience growing up with Russian-speaking grandparents in New York and Christian grandparents in Utah!"

"Life is beautiful to be able to experience it all. My biggest advice to anyone in a similar position ... don't shy away from it! Face it head on and have the hard conversations!! They are worth it!!" she concluded.

When speaking to PEOPLE in May, Chmerkovskiy said fatherhood is “the best hood I’ve been to” as it has “been a lot of fun.”

"Obviously the greatest responsibility I've ever felt. It's just been really fulfilling," he said at the time. "Love to see him smile and grow and really seeing my wife become a mom. All of that has been really, really fruitful for us."

When asked if their view on life itself has changed since becoming parents, Johnson told PEOPLE, "Just the word 'present' or being present has really shifted."

"I feel like I am so much more accomplished throughout my day having a kid, and it's because I wanna spend as much time possible with him," she explained. "And so I feel like I'm really present. I'm really focused, but I get a lot more done because I want to just spend every waking second with him."
