Jenna Bush Hager Reveals Why She 'Hides' When Her Kids Aren't Listening to Her: 'Goodbye'

The 'Today' co-host shares her daughters Mila and Poppy and son Hal with husband Henry Hager

Jenna Bush Hager is sharing how she responds when her kids don't want to listen.

On Friday, April 5, the mom of three, 42 shared on Today with Hoda & Jenna that she tends to "hide" when her kids aren't listening to her. Bush Hager is mom to daughters Mila, 10, and Poppy, 8, as well as son Hal, 4, whom she shares with husband Henry Hager.

"I just hide...goodbye," Bush Hager tells Hoda Kotb of her parenting tactic. "If you're going to act like that, guess where I'm going? Hiding. Keep hitting me with that PJ Masks toy. And guess where I'm going to go? Away from you and I hide."

Bush Hager revealed that she draws from her own mother's reactions, going on to make an impression of former first lady Laura Bush's deep sigh.

"Now I realized, that's me but I try to go do it in private because I can't even stand it," Bush Hager says.

She also admitted what the "worst" thing is that her kids say.

"'Oh, you're not going to be here tomorrow morning?'...'Yeah, all the other moms are there in the morning'...'Daddy's the best,' " Bush Hager recalls her kids saying. "When they pit us against each other!"

Earlier this week, Bush Hager shared an April Fool's Day prank she pulled on her kids that made them cry.

"I told the kids that Holly’s neutering didn’t work and she was pregnant with Mango’s kittens," Bush Hager said of her cat.

"What is wrong with you?" Kotb asked.

"Um… they fell for it and when I told her it wasn’t true? Tears. They thought they were going to have kittens. So anyway," Bush Hager lamented.
