After rumors flew around Bachelor Nation about who the next lead of "The Bachelorette" would be, Jesse Palmer put the rumors to rest when he announced Jenn Tran on "After the Final Rose."

Jenn's selection is historic in Bachelor Nation, as she is the first Asian-American lead in the franchise's history.

Here's what to know about the season 21 Bachelorette.

Who is Jenn Tran of 'The Bachelorette?' Meet the PA student from Miami, Florida

Jenn Tran is a 26-year-old physician assistant student living in Miami. According to Bachelor Wiki, she originally hails from Hillsdale, New Jersey.

"Jenn is bubbly and compassionate, and has dedicated her life to helping others. She is currently studying to become a physician assistant, and while she is passionate about working in health care, she is also ready to prioritize finding love," ABC's biography writes.

Tran is also the first-ever Asian star of a Bachelor Nation franchise, discussing her Vietnamese background in several episodes of the series. In the history of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette," ABC has never had an Asian lead looking for love − until Tran.

After riding in on a go-kart and capturing Joey Graziadei's heart during the season 28 premiere episode of "The Bachelor," Jenn Tran rode out in a black SUV on episode seven (meaning she was sent home). Here's a walk, or race, down memory lane of Tran's highlights while on Joey's season of "The Bachelor."

Ditching the typical limo entrance, Tran arrived to the "Bachelor" mansion in a go-kart and did "doughnuts" on the driveway, meaning she drove in circles to leave marks on the road. After parking the kart, she told Graziadei, “When I found out you were the bachelor, I had to race over here so quick from Miami. I want to let you know that every day with me will be an adventure, and we’ll always have a good time.”

Graziadei also strapped himself into a go-kart later in the night and the two raced around the mansion. After some racing, they sat down to chat and get to know each other more. Tran admitted she took a break from physician assistant school to film the show since he was the lead.

The conversation ended with a kiss between the pair, the second kiss of the night.

Jenn Tran and 'Bachelor' star Joey Graziadei hit the waves on a one-on-one date

Earning the second one-on-one date of the season, Jenn Tran and Joey Graziadei went out on a surfing date, forcing Tran to conquer her fear of sharks.

“I feel like you have this calming energy and I weirdly trust you. I’m comfortable with you. I think you’ll keep me safe,” she told him, later adding in a confessional, “Joey is probably the best surf coach anybody could ever have. He’s so patient with me. He’s making me feel so reassured and so comfortable. Joey pushes me.”

Graziadei replied, “When I’m with Jenn, there’s something about her that gets me feeling very giddy. This could be a glimpse into my future with Jenn. A bus, some kids in the back, surfboards on top. I think we click in many ways. I’m smiling right now. It’s easy with her.”

After surfing, the pair went to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery for an intimate private dinner where Tran first opened up about her complicated family dynamic.

“Growing up, I never knew what a happy couple was. My parents would slam doors and throw things and yell really loudly. I think I felt for a long time because I grew up like that, I was doomed for failure," she said, also explaining her strained relationship with her father.

Graziadei consoled her and she said, “Seeing you, I can see what a genuine and good person you are and that’s something I’ve been missing in my life and it’s something that I’m fighting for now.”

Graziadei proceeded to take her outside for a drone show. The drones spelled out, “Today has been a dream. Jenn, will you accept this rose?” Then, the drones formed a rose in the sky, which she accepted.

A quick kiss in Jasper causes drama on 'The Bachelor' with Joey Graziadei

After a chaotic first few episodes focused on the "Maria vs. Sydney" drama (a major plot point in season 28 of "The Bachelor"), Jenn Tran found herself catching some heat on episode seven.

On a lumberjack-themed group date, Tran expressed her concerns going into the week. "It was hard this week, not getting a one-on-one … I'm going to make time when I can because he is what's most important here," she told the camera.

While Graziadei filmed an on-camera interview, Tran interrupted to give him a “good luck kiss.” That act made most of the women visibly upset, particularly Maria.

Viewers see Jenn Tran's emotional elimination on 'The Bachelor' before hometown dates

In a shocking elimination no one in Bachelor Nation saw coming, Jenn Tran was sent home right before hometown dates during that same episode.

Prior to the rose ceremony, she discussed what it would mean to bring him home to meet her family, which she explained to Joey Graziadei is a complex situation. She called her upbringing traumatic and toxic because her parents fought a lot growing up, resulting in her no longer speaking to her father.

At the time, he reassured her that should he visit her hometown, it wouldn't be an issue for him.

"I hope you know that doesn't scare me in any way, or change the way I feel about you," Joey said. "I'll do everything in my power to feel like I can be a part of your family. I can promise you that."

That promise came up a little short when Joey sent her home later in the episode.

"It's definitely tough to know that I wasn't enough," Tran said after leaving. "I know what I have to offer. I know the amazing woman that I am. And I know that somebody else will be more than happy to be my person. I just hope that I find someone as special as him one day."

'Everything on the line' Jenn Tran of 'The Bachelor' gets a hot seat on 'Women Tell All' special

During the heated "Women Tell All" reunion, "The Bachelor" host Jesse Palmer called Jenn Tran up to the hot seat to talk about her emotional departure after Joey Graziadei sent her home.

"Seeing how good it was between us and going into it, I really just wanted to put everything on the line," Jenn said. I wanted to put my whole heart into the experience and be vulnerable and talk about the things that make me, me."

Being on the show was transformative for Jenn, serving as a stepping stone to improving her relationship with her family, especially with her brother and mother she said.
