Jenelle Evans Mourns Dog's Death After Her Husband Allegedly Shot and Killed Him

Jenelle Evans is mourning the death of her French bulldog, Nugget.

On Wednesday, the 27-year-old Teen Mom 2 star took to Instagram to express her grief over her dog's death, which occurred after Evans' husband, David Eason, allegedly shot and killed him.

"Nugget... I’m crying everyday," Evans wrote alongside a pic of Nugget sitting in her lap. "I love you so much and I’m so sorry. I’m speechless."

"You were my side kick and knew the moment I felt bad and would cuddle with me," she continued. "You still had a lot to learn and a lot to grow from your lessons. Everyday I wake up you’re not here, when I come home you’re not here, when I go to bed... you’re not here. You’re gone forever and there’s no coming back. #Heartbroken #Distraught 😓😪💔"

Eason seemingly confirmed his role in the dog's death on Instagram, claiming that Nugget bit his and Evans' 2-year-old daughter, Ensley.

"I dont give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face... whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I dont put up with that s**t at all," Eason wrote alongside a video of Nugget appearing to be aggressive toward Ensley. "I'm all about protecting my family, it is my lifes mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me."

"You can hate me all you want but this isnt the first time the dog bit Ensley aggressively," he continued in the caption of the post, which also includes a photo of Ensley with a red mark on her cheek. "The only person that can judge weather [sic] or not a animal is a danger to MY CHILD is ME."

The Columbus County Sheriff's Department told People that Evans' ex, Nathan Griffith, called the police on April 30 to request a welfare check on his 4-year-old son, Kaiser.

"The male caller referenced making sure his son was safe because his ex-fiancée’s husband shot a dog in front of him," the public information officer told the outlet.

The police checked on Kaiser and determined he was safe. Because the call only requested the welfare check, they did not further investigate the claim that Eason shot a dog, the PIO told People.

Nugget's death comes months after Evans was hospitalized following a police incident in North Carolina, which, multiple outlets reported, occurred after a 911 call regarding an alleged assault at her North Carolina home.

Prior to that incident, Evans was embroiled in controversy when she pulled out a gun in the car while her son, 9-year-old Jace, was with her, while Eason was fired from Teen Mom 2 after allegedly tweeting a series of homophobic remarks.
