Felons of a feather will flock together. Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes and Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum Jen Shah seem to have become friends while serving time. Photos have surfaced of the two chatting in the prison yard dressed in their matching prison-issued khakis. The convicted fraudsters make an unlikely pair, as the pharmaceutical scammer attends workout classes and gets maternal advice from the former Bravo star.

The two seem to have bonded and are supporting each other through their multi-year sentences, six for Jen and 11 for Elizabeth.

The two women are incarcerated in the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas. They’re both a long way from their multimillion-dollar homes back in Salt Lake City (Jen) and San Diego (Elizabeth). In Bryan, the former socialites share four-person rooms and sleep in bunk beds.

DailyMail.com snapped photos of the two friends chatting just prior to visiting hours on Sunday, February 4. Elizabeth was expecting her husband, parents, two small children and friends to stop by to celebrate her 40th birthday.

The former corporate founder beamed as she enjoyed some cuddle time with her two small children and her husband, Billy Evans, who traveled from their $9 million California home. She’s nine months into her 11-year sentence for fraud and conspiracy. Her company made false claims to investors about her blood-testing machine that used just a tiny drop of blood. Only it didn’t really work, as documented in the Netflix series “The Dropout,” starring Amanda Seyfried as Holmes. It was fascinating.

Likewise, Jen began her six-and-a-half-year sentence in February 2023. She pled guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering. Her telemarketing scam conned thousands of mainly elderly people for nearly a decade. She also has to repay $6,500,000 and surrender 30 luxury items.

Jen has adjusted well to prison life. She mentors the other women and teaches fitness classes, earning her the nickname “Jen Fonda.” Her 30-to-60 minute workout classes, in which Elizabeth regularly participates, have been dubbed “Shah-mazing.”

TELL US – DOES THIS UNLIKELY FRIENDSHIP SURPRISE YOU? DID YOU THINK JEN WOULD ADJUST SO WELL TO LIFE IN PRISON?
