Bunnie Xo is proud to see her husband, Jelly Roll, embraced by his alma mater — even in the midst of a difficult time.

On Monday, May 13, the country star's wife shared a video to TikTok of him returning to Antioch High School in Tennessee — years after he was told he'd "never be allowed back" during his time as a student. Bunnie, 44, also revealed the nostalgic visit went down shortly after she learned her father Bill died.

"I got the call about my dad passing on the way to this appearance," wrote the Dumb Blonde podcast host alongside footage of the spouses entering the school and greeting both staff and students.

"They told my husband he would never be allowed back into his high school when he was younger," added Bunnie of Jelly, 39, who's been to jail around 40 times for various drug charges and was first arrested at age 14.

"Last week I got to watch him walk the halls again, perform & be welcomed by the kids & teachers," said his wife. "The love and giving back that they showed my husband was the sweetest thing ever to watch."

Bunnie continued, "But most importantly the smiles on those kids faces was priceless [sic] & what I truly needed in that moment. Thank you Antioch High School students & staff for the warm hug we needed that day. Go Bears!"

Last year, Bunnie revealed Bill was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and took a break from Jelly's Backroad Baptism Tour to see him.

After entering hospice care later that year, she revealed Bill underwent his second hip replacement surgery in February.
