Jelly Roll

Jelly Roll is sharing his joy after accomplishing a huge goal.

The country crooner is currently on a weight loss journey, previously opening up about his health and prior experiences with addiction.

Now, the "Wild Ones" artist is explaining how proud he is of himself after completing a 5K, admitting that just months ago, he could barely walk a mile.

On Tuesday, May 7, ET caught up with the 39-year-old at the 2 Bears 5K—which was hosted by 2 Bears 1 Cave podcast hosts Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer as part of the Netflix Is a Joke comedy festival—where he gave a bit of insight on the feat and how much weight he has dropped so far.

"I couldn't walk a mile when I started trying to do this back in January," the Grammy nominee admitted. "So the fact that we got 3-point-whatever it was, got it down, I felt really, really good about it."

A "motivated" Jelly Roll explained that accomplishing the goal made him "really emotional at the finish line," and that although a "little tired" afterward, he felt "great."

"It was a little bit harder than I thought it was [going to be], but it's awesome, man," he added.

During training for the event, he also shared that he lost an impressive amount of weight—a ballpark figure of "like 50 to 70-something pounds," to be (somewhat) exact.

And though he has taken on this endeavor for his own wellness, the musical artist is happy to be an inspiration for others. "I think the coolest thing is how many people stopped to tell us that they were motivated by us, other big guys," he shared. "It was just really cool to see that."
