Jeff Green Invites Swaggy P to the Mile High Block Party

Running a solo fast break in the NBA can sometimes be a poisoned chalice. Yeah, you probably just got a steal or a block. Yeah, you've got a good chance to throw down in front of 30,000 people. But there's also a strong possibility that some next-level athlete is going to come barreling down the floor to put you on their highlight reel with a flying block from behind. We've seen LeBron James do it countless times, and now we've seen it from Jeff Green.

The Lakers' Nick Young showed off his own athleticism to steal an ill-advised cross-court pass, going full extension to pull the ball out of the air and knock it downcourt. He chased after it and looked like he was home free, but the pass's intended receiver, Green, had other ideas. He caught up to Swaggy P and elevated above him for the consummate chasedown block.

It was one of two blocks for Green, who added 17 points as the Grizzlies went on to win by double digits.
