Jeezy Wants Judge To Order 'Parental Fitness' Exam For Him And Jeannie Mai Amid Nasty Divorce

Jeezy is requesting "relief" in a new filing in his divorce battle with his estranged wife, Jeannie Mai. The rapper has asked a judge to order a "parental fitness exam" for him and Mai and also to be granted "joint physical custody" of their daughter.

This filing comes after Jeezy received support from his ex-partner Mahi and his daughter's nanny, who testified to his peaceful parenting. Mahi emphasized Jeezy's caring nature despite legal disputes over child support.

Since filing for divorce from Jeannie Mai, Jeezy has been accused of domestic violence by the former talk show host, allegations that he has denied.

According to a new legal document obtained by The Blast, rapper Jeezy has asked the judge in his divorce for several reliefs, including joint physical custody of his daughter, Monaco.

Jeezy wants the judge presiding over the case to "order" a "parental fitness evaluation for" him and Mai and also award him "joint physical custody of" their "minor child."

He also requests that the court enter his proposed "temporary parenting plan order" and that the judge "award temporary child support pursuant to statutory guidelines."

In the document, Jeezy has asked that the judge set a "final trial" for his divorce on "the next available trial calendar."

Amid abuse allegations from Mai, Jeezy has received support from women close to him.

Mahi, who shares a daughter, Amra Nor Jenkins, 10, with the "Soul Survivor" rapper, filed an affidavit attesting to Jeezy's "peaceful" nature.

In the court documents obtained by The Blast, Mahi describes her ex as a "devoted, caring, and present Father to our daughter and his oldest child [Jadarius Jenkins, 28]."

She added: "For almost four years, Jay's eldest child lived with us, and I was able to see their relationship grow every day. At no point was Jay ever physically, mentally, or emotionally abusive to his children or me."

Despite their legal disputes over child support when she sued in 2020 for failing to pay  $10,000 per month for their daughter, Mahi emphasizes that Jeezy is "one of the most peaceful people" she has ever met.

The Estranged Couple's Nanny Describes Jeezy As A 'Loving Father'

Jeezy also enlisted the support of him and Mai's nanny to vouch for his parenting skills. In an affidavit, the nanny, Minhee Hoffler, described Jeezy as a "loving" father to his two daughters, Amra and Monaco.

She praised his dedication and hard work, stating: "As a caretaker, I believe Mr. Jenkins gives his daughters the support they need as they grow into young women in the future." She added: "Mr. Jenkins is a hardworking person, but even a more hardworking dad."

However, Mai's representative dismissed these claims in a statement to the publication, asserting that "Mr. Jenkins is trying to distort the truth once more by employing people to file false statements and claims against Ms. Mai, attempting to contradict real-time evidence and factual events."

According to Page Six, they expressed readiness to counter these assertions, adding: "We are eager to present all the evidence in court."

In an April court filing, Mai accused Jeezy of choking her and pushing her down the stairs at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in San Francisco on April 14, 2022.

The TV personality claimed that security intervened and offered her protection after expressing feeling "unsafe" due to Jeezy's actions.

However, Jeezy vehemently denied these allegations, calling them "malicious." He expressed deep disappointment, stating: "The allegations are not only false but also deeply disturbing, especially coming from someone I loved."

He continued: "This malicious attempt to tarnish my character and disrupt my family is ridiculous. It's disheartening to witness the manipulation and deceit at play and at this time my main concern is being an active father to our daughter as I continue to fight for four mandated joint custody."

After three years of dating, Jeezy and Mai married in their Atlanta home on March 27, 2021. The former "The Real" host explained to Vogue: "We were really looking forward to having all of our friends and family there to celebrate, but we had to change all of our wedding plans due to COVID."

She continued: "After Jeezy's mother unexpectedly passed, we quickly learned that life is too short, and at the end of the day, Jeezy and I really just wanted to become husband and wife. So we decided to turn our original wedding into a mini-money, where we exchanged our vows in front of our immediate family and a few close friends."

In January 2022, the couple welcomed their child, Monaco. However, in September 2023, after two years of marriage, the Grammy-nominated artist filed for divorce from Mai, stating their union was "irretrievably broken."
