Trying to find a decent person on dating apps can be tough, and after dealing with lame pickup lines and inane small talk that ultimately leads nowhere, you might find yourself wishing you could escape your local dating pool altogether. What if instead of simply widening your dating radius, you could try out app dating in a galaxy far, far away? Sounds ideal, especially if you were lucky enough to match with a Jedi Knight, the ultimate badass warriors of the Star Wars universe.

But while Jedi are great at using the Force and their lightsaber skills to routinely save the galaxy from evil, that might not mean they would be the ideal person to find on a dating app. After all, surviving in the world of app dating requires a skillset that no amount of the Force can make up for. So which Jedi would love you to the Endor Moon and back, and who would make you more miserable than being frozen in carbonite? I decided to rank them, from the worst-possible match to the best. Here are my conclusions.
10. Anakin Skywalker This one is easy. Anakin is a dating disaster in every conceivable way. On a personal level, he is a whiny, petulant, power-hungry narcissist who blames everyone around him for his problems rather than doing a bit of self-reflection. His profile would be him holding his lightsaber, mixed with shameless boasting about how he is the greatest Jedi of all time. And even if you are somehow willing to look past all of these massive red flags, it's impossible to ignore his unforgivable behavior as a partner. He claims to love Padmé with all of his heart but then Force-chokes her. Avoid him at all costs because if you become the object of his affection, there's a good chance you'll end up being trapped forever in the Sarlacc Pit of his emotional turmoil.

20th Century Fox / Courtesy Everett Collection 9. Ben Solo (aka Kylo Ren) Ben is the bad boy that you convince yourself you can change, but honestly it's not worth your trouble. Sure, he looks great without a shirt on in his profile pictures and has that undeniable brooding charisma, but he's also the type of guy whose idea of flirting is disagreeing with one of your prompts and then claiming he's "just playing devil's advocate." Halfway through your first date, you'd realize his "tortured soul" routine is really just an excuse to throw tantrums like an angsty brat. If someone looks at him the wrong way or accidentally gets his drink order wrong, he would be fully embracing the dark side while you'd be looking to pay the check and bail quicker than his dad made the Kessel Run. And family talk is fully off the table, as he'd either wax poetically about how his genocidal grandfather was a misunderstood genius or try to justify murdering his dad. You could waste a couple months of your life trying to make him the Jedi of your dreams, but do you really want to? I don't think so. Next!

Walt Disney Co. / Courtesy Everett Collection 8. Obi-Wan Kenobi This one might seem controversial at first, but hear me out. Yes, Obi-Wan is a loyal, brave, kindhearted soul who, let's face it, is pretty easy on the eyes. He would send you a rose, and everything would be going great until he utilized some Jedi mind trick–level gaslighting to convince you that "from a certain point of view" he isn't a jerk for not messaging you back for days at a time or being flaky when it comes to making plans. And nobody has time to play those kinds of games when it comes to dating. He could be a fun candidate for a summer fling, but if you are looking for the real deal, Obi-Wan isn't your guy.

20th Century Fox / Courtesy Everett Collection 7. Count Dooku As a political idealist who was corrupted by Palpatine, Count Dooku is a bad guy but not quite as evil as Anakin, which makes him a bit more palatable as a potential match. He won't be mistaken for Han Solo, but he has a certain appeal if you are into older men. He does seem a little bit boring, which means his prompts would say that his primary love language is coffee and that he's looking for someone who "doesn't take themselves too seriously." Dooku has one major dating advantage: The dude is loaded. In fact, his massive wealth probably makes him more of a Raya guy, but if you end up finding him on Hinge and want to enjoy some extravagant dinners or take a helicopter ride to a remote beach that only rich people have access to, he might be your ideal match. But just don't get too close, or you could find yourself seduced by the power of the dark side (in this case, money).

Lucasfilm Ltd. / Courtesy Everett Collection 6. Luke Skywalker As the central hero of the original trilogy, Luke obviously has a ton of great qualities that would make him an ideal match on any dating app. He is humble, hard working, and will go to the ends of the galaxy to protect the people he cares about. He's also got that adorable boy-next-door thing going for him and gives off major "eager to please" energy, which bodes well for him as a potential lover (sorry for saying lover). However, this is also a guy who is way too weighed down by baggage, as evidenced by the fact that he retreated to an island for several decades without telling anyone how to find him. He would seem too good to be true at first, but, eventually, you'd realize that you're better off not trying to tame this lone wolf. Not to mention the fact that he would probably lie about his height because he doesn't want you to think he's a little short for a stormtrooper.

20th Century Fox / Everett Collection 5. Yoda Yoda's dating profile would be filled with words of wisdom and hilarious one-liners that would make him stand out amongst a sea of mediocre potential matches. He would also probably be amazing at spitting game, throwing out strange but charming pickup lines like, "Doing, how are you?" and, "Date or date not, there is no 'hanging out.'" And while he is a bit on the short side, he's proven time and time again that "size matters not," and there's no denying that Yoda has some major BDE. I don't even think he would lie about his height to get matches. Ironically, that swagger is actually what keeps Yoda from landing higher on this list, as his confidence often becomes arrogance and makes him a little too big for his britches. Plus, despite being arguably the most powerful Force-user ever, he is surprisingly terrible when it comes to sensing vibes, as evidenced by Palpatine rising to power with Yoda not suspecting a thing.

20th Century Fox / Courtesy Everett Collection 4. Rey Skywalker Rey came from humble beginnings and worked her way into becoming one of the most powerful and respected Jedi ever. And she looked good doing it. Despite her difficult life, Rey never let go of her optimism, and even though she grew up almost entirely alone, she was able to build deep, lasting friendships with Finn, Luke, and Poe. She also kinda seems like she would have a bunch of "me out in nature" photos in her profile, but honestly she'll look good in every last one of them. She always sees the best in people and won't give up on someone just because they have made a couple of bad decisions. But like many of us, Rey's best quality can also become her worst tendencies, as she is a bit too willing to overlook people's flaws. Her entire romance with Kylo Ren was packed with steamy tension but also points to her falling for the wrong type of person. But as long as you aren't a patricidal maniac, you should be OK.

Walt Disney Co. / Courtesy Everett Collection 3. Mace Windu By far the coolest Jedi in the entire council, Mace Windu's supremely confident aura might be a bit intimidating at first, but once you match you'll find he's a no-nonsense man of action who cares deeply for justice and spiritual balance. And in a world full of wishy-washy ne'er-do-wells, that's an appealing prospect. If you end up messaging with Windu, he's likely to avoid the small talk and dive right into asking you about your greatest fear. He's easily one of the hottest Jedi Knights of all time, unless you have a thing for little green men, and he also gets bonus points for being the guy who knew from the get-go that Anakin was giving off major dark-side vibes. Windu is a bit hot-headed and can be quick to judge, but you know he is willing to go to battle for you, and I suspect there's a deeply romantic side to him that he was never allowed to embrace during his time with the Jedi. The Force is unquestionably strong with this one...

20th Century Fox / Courtesy Everett Collection 2. Qui-Gon Jinn While Anakin and Ben are the selfish jerks who will end up ruining your life, Qui-Gon is the ideal bad boy with a heart of gold. He's in touch with his emotions and is the type of roguish scoundrel willing to break the rules or ignore convention when it comes to doing what he believes is right. And it doesn't hurt that he is a pretty foxy dude who will have you transfixed as he stares into your soul with his deep, smoldering gaze. A first date with Qui-Gon would probably consist of deep conversation and incredible stories over dinner at a cool local spot nobody else knows about. His one weakness? Arguably not the best judge of character, based on him choosing Anakin as his next apprentice. Though it could also be argued that if Qui-Gon had survived, perhaps little Ani wouldn't have ended up growing up to become Darth Vader. Also, he might be that guy whose answer to the "best travel story" prompt is really just an excuse to flex with a lengthy story about him saving the galaxy. But regardless, as far as Jedi go, Qui-Gon is a keeper.

Lucasfilm Ltd. / Courtesy Everett Collection 1. Leia Organa Sometimes the obvious choice is the right one, and in this case Leia is so clearly the best possible potential match of any Jedi in the entire extended universe. She is a complete and total badass who is unafraid to stand up for what is right and never backs down from a fight. She is also a caring, sensitive person who, unlike pretty much every other Jedi, isn't afraid to connect on an emotional level. Plus she is a fantastic partner, as she proved to be the only person who could break through Han's bitter, cynical shell to convince him to join the Rebel Alliance. This isn't even mentioning the fact that she is a mega-babe and a top-notch flirt, which means her prompts would probably be equal parts hilarious and original. I could go on and on about how Leia would be the dating app match of all of our dreams, but the real question is if any of us would be cool enough for her to match with. Probably not, but never tell me the odds.
