Jeannie Mai & Daughter Monaco Recreate Iconic 'The Lady and The Tramp' Scene During Girls Getaway

Jeannie Mai might be on a work trip, but that’s not deterring her from making new memories with her daughter Monaco.

On Monday, the television personality shared a carousel on Instagram with highlights from her recent trip to Boston. Mai, who frequently travels with her 2-year-old, brought Monaco along for the ride, and they had a blast visiting the city’s attractions and restaurants. One moment in particular had Mai’s fans giggling thanks to Monaco’s hilarious competitive streak.

While enjoying a plate of pasta on a restaurant patio, the mommy-daughter duo recreated the iconic scene from The Lady and The Tramp. Mai slurped a spaghetti noodle from one end while Monaco munched at the other, and as her mom began to slurp the spaghetti more quickly, the toddler cheekily grabbed the noodle to shove it in her mouth. The pasta broke, leaving Mai with a short bit of spaghetti sticking out of her mouth, and Monaco naughtily grabbed the remaining noodle from her mom’s lips and popped it into her own mouth.

While her daughter looked quite pleased with herself, Mai playfully gaped at Monaco with an open mouth before moving to squish her cheeks. Still in competitive mode, the 2-year-old laughed and reared away from Mai’s hand to finish chewing the pasta.

Fans fawned over the moment in the comments, with one Instagram user writing, “The noodle video is to die for 🥺😩 so adorable!!” Others got a kick out of Monaco’s antics, with one fan commenting, “The way I HOLLERED when CoCo took that noodle out of your mouth 🤣.” Another person joked, “Just when you thought you’d won, she snatched thst noodle 😂😂”

In addition to the Disney-inspired moment, Mai shared photos of Monaco taking in the plane ride, enjoying an ice cream cone, having fun at a park, and bursting with laughter during a photo op with her mama. Mai captioned the post, “Sooo happy to be back in #Boston shooting season 2 of the best cooking competition show everrr.. and can’t help but remember lil Coco being only 6 months old when I first brought her here on my lap. And now she gets her own seat, the expensive lil 😭🥹”

Monaco is Mai’s only child, whom she shares with her estranged husband Jeezy. The rapper filed for divorce from the TV host in September 2023, and the former couple has been publicly at odds where custody is concerned in the months since. For Monaco’s sake, we hope the courts are able to facilitate an arrangement that puts the little girl’s health and happiness first.
