Jeezy has reached one of the bigger milestones of his career, as the rapper’s new book Adversity for Sale: You Gotta Believe was included on this week’s New York Times Best Sellers list.

The hitmaker’s wife, Jeannie Mai Jenkins, and their daughter, Monaco, helped celebrate her husband’s latest accolade in a heartwarming post on social media. On Wednesday (Sept. 6), Mai posted a clip of her and Monaco seated by a table in their living room, with a copy of Jeezy’s new book placed on top.

As the two say grace prior to Monaco’s meal, Monaco repeats the prayer said by her mother, in which she thanks God for their family and the food she’s about to eat. At the conclusion of the prayer, Mai prompts Monaco to thank God for allowing her father to make the New York Times Bestsellers List, eliciting applause from the one-year-old.

“God thank you for my daddy and his work to help people believe in themselves, just like he teaches me. Amen,” Monaco repeated after her mother before grabbing and eating a fistful of noodles from a bowl. In the caption of the post, Mai commended Jeezy on his big win, professing her love for the rap star, who she married in 2021.

“Your story has always been an inspiration to me,” the TV host and reporter began. “But seeing it in print has left me even more in awe of your strength and wisdom. You invited us into the most intimate corners of your life, where pain and triumph coexist. This moment isn’t just a testament to your literary skills baby, but a recognition of your ability to inspire through the power of storytelling.” She ended her post, adding “I’m endlessly grateful for your voice in this world. Honored to walk beside you my love.”

Adversity for Sale: You Gotta Believe is currently positioned at No. 10 on the New York Times’ bestselling non-fiction list and is available through HarperCollins publishing.
