The Celtics may have have seen their short-term prospects dampened with the opening-night injury to Gordon Hayward, but the future is still bright in Boston thanks to a core that is heavy on youth and talent.

One of those bright spots is 20-year-old Jayson Tatum, who knifed his way through the Washington Wizards on Wednesday, making a tough bucket look easy in the first quarter.

Feeling confident, Tatum pulled a similar move for Boston’s next score, opting for the finesse finish over power at the rim this time.

Not to seem a one-trick pony, Tatum mixed it up with this spin move for a strong finish in the second quarter.

The future is bright, indeed in Boston.
