Jay-Z Gets Last Laugh After Embarrassing Jet Ski Helmet Photo

Jay-Z is getting the last laugh at the viral photo that made the rounds last year of him wearing a helmet while riding a jet-ski.

Beyoncé released her highly-anticipated album “The Lion King: The Gift”, which accompanies the release of the blockbuster. Beyoncé also plays the character of Nala in the live-action remake of the classic film.

One of the hottest tracks on the album “MOOD 4 EVA” features Jay-Z and Childish Gambino.

Jay-Z enters the song by saying, “You heard that? That's the sound of the price goin' up.”

He then joins his wife with a rap that includes the lines;

"Helmet, on a jetski, you know the vibes /Hit my head, forget I'm me (I love it), oh my God"

The line is a direct shot at the comments people made about wearing the helmet while riding the watercraft after many made jokes about the head protection.

The photo in question was actually taken in 2016 while the hip-hop star and Beyoncé were on vacation in Italy.

For some reason it didn’t become viral until years later but the internet went wild. Jay-Z definitely felt the online trolls’ commentary.

Beyoncé didn’t have time for haters either singing;

"I'm so unbothered, I'm so unbothered //Y'all be so pressed while I'm raisin' daughters //Sons of empires, y'all make me chuckle //Stay in your struggle, crystal blue water //Piña colada-in', you stay Ramada Inn //My baby father, bloodline Rwanda. //Why would you try me? Why would you bother? //I am Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter"

The album also features Pharrell, Burna Boy, Mr. Eazi, Tierra Whack, Jessie Revez and Tiwa Savage.

Beyonce sat down with Robin Roberts to talk about her album saying, "This soundtrack is a love letter to Africa, and I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa, and not just use some of the sounds and did my interpretation of it."

"We've kind of created our own genre, and I feel like the soundtrack, it becomes visual in your mind. It's a soundscape. It's more than just the music, because each song tells the story of the film."
