Jay Leno and his wife, Mavis, over whom he was recently granted conservatorship, are sharing an update on her health amid her battle with advanced dementia.

While attending Tuesday’s premiere of Jerry Seinfeld’s Netflix flick, “Unfrosted,” philanthropist Mavis Elizabeth Leno, 77, told Entertainment Tonight, “I feel great.”

Speaking about how the couple — who have been married since 1980 — keep their relationship strong, the former “Tonight Show” host, 74, said the secret is being best friends and spending as much time together as they can.

“We hang out every day,” Leno said. “We have a great time. Forty-four years [married], so we’re doing good.”

Their appearance comes just weeks after Leno was officially granted conservatorship over Mavis’ estate, after filing in January as her health declined from Alzheimer’s, the most common form of dementia.

“Unfortunately, Mavis has been progressively losing capacity and orientation to space and time for several years,” noted the original petition, per NBC News.

Mavis is “receiving excellent care with her husband,” her attorney, who agreed with the conservatorship, told a Los Angeles County Superior Court last month.

Leno further said he was only seeking conservatorship over his wife’s estate to set up a living trust to provide for her care in case he’s unable. Early last year, he broke multiple bones in a motorcycle accident, just months after suffering serious burns in a garage fire.

Just before Leno was granted conservatorship, neurologist Dr. Hart Cohen said Mavis sometimes “does not know her husband,” wrote her court-appointed counsel, Ronald Ostrin, in documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight.
