Matt Moore is finally getting reps as the quarterback in Miami, and could be the starter for the next few weeks.

Starter Jay Cutler was knocked out against the New York Jets early in the second half after getting drilled by a hit to his side. He went straight to the locker room with what was being reported as a chest injury.

After the game, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Cutler had cracked ribs and could miss 2-3 weeks.

Cutler was putting together a respectable day for the Dolphins going 12-for-16 with 138 yards, two touchdowns and one interception before the injury.

Some fans in Miami had been clamoring for Moore as the Jay Cutler experience yielded five touchdowns on four interceptions heading into the Jets game. Sunday marked the first time Moore had entered a regular-season game this season.
