Jason Oppenheim opened up about his feelings for his ex and Selling Sunset costar Chrishell Stause, although the real estate mogul didn't really have much of a choice in the matter.

During the season 7 reunion episode on Wednesday, Oppenheim, 46, was put on the spot when host Tan France asked him, “Are you still in love with Chrishell?” To make things even more intense, the Oppenheim Group president was hooked up to a lie detector test when the loaded question was asked.

Despite a convincing denial, the lie detector indicated otherwise. A slightly embarrassed Stause covered her face with a hand.

Stause and Oppenheim first teased their relationship in July 2021 when the A Rose for Her Grave actress posted a photo on Instagram of Oppenheim kissing her neck while they were in Italy.

Later that month, Oppenheim exclusively confirmed their relationship to PEOPLE and shared that he and Stause were “very happy together” and that he cares about her “deeply.”

After less than a year of dating, the pair announced their breakup in December 2021 with separate statements on Instagram. Both real estate agents explained that their differences in wanting to start a family was what ultimately led to their split.

"While we have different wants regarding a family, we continue to have the utmost respect for one another," Oppenheim wrote in his statement.

Meanwhile, Stause wrote in a since-deleted post of her own, "Men have the luxury of time that women don't and that's just the way it goes. All of that being said, navigating this public terrain is difficult and I am just trying my best...I very much hope to one day have a family and decisions I make at this point are with that goal in mind."

Following their breakup, both Stause and Oppenheim moved on and found love again in new relationships. Stause announced she was dating Australian musician G Flip during the Selling Sunset season 5 reunion episode in May 2022, and the pair later tied the knot in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony after a year together.

Oppenheim was in a relationship with German model Marie-Lou Nurk — who appeared in seasons 6 and 7 of Selling Sunset — for 10 months after they met in Mykonos, Greece, in July 2022. They officially called it quits on their relationship in May 2023, with Oppenheim explaining that “the distance between us has proven to be too great a challenge to overcome” in a statement on Instagram.

In the latest installment of the Netflix real estate drama, fans watched tensions boil between Oppenheim’s exes after Nurk accused Stause during a discussion at a restaurant of potentially still having feelings for her boyfriend — a sentiment Stause disagreed with before abruptly leaving the table.

The two exes attempted to hash it out during the reunion but couldn't come to an agreement. France eventually decided the show must "move on."

"I don't think we're gonna resolve this, not today," he said.
