Jason Momoa Wraps on Minecraft: “One of the Greatest Times of My Life”

Just a couple of weeks ago, we got the first shots leak of the Minecraft movie, and now the film has officially wrapped filming and will head to post-production.
Jason Momoa made the announcement via Instagram in a heartfelt post which described the process as an "Unbelievable movie experience" and "truly one of the greatest times of [his] life".
Momoa also said the process was filled with "Too many laughs" and thanked New Zealand for allowing the movie to be made there, saying, "AOTEAROA New Zealand you are magical. Mahalo for letting me film here."
The carousel of images begins with a picture of Jason Momoa and Jack Black front and center among the cast and crew.
Momoa also included a video of him gifting the crew with wrap presents, which are towels that his company, So iLL, made in collaboration with SLOWTIDE.
"When the Lāhaina fires happened in Maui, we wanted to be able to donate and do something positive for them," Momoa said. "Every [towel] that I bought, we're donating, too, so your towel is also donated to the families in Maui."
Minecraft comes from director Jared Hess and stars Momoa alongside Jack Black, Jennifer Coolidge, Kate McKinnon, Emma Myers, Jemaine Clement, Danielle Brooks and Sebastian Eugene Hansen.
It will hit theaters on April 4, 2025.
