Jason Momoa Explains How His Role In Apple TV+'s 'See' Differs From 'Game Of Thrones'

Momoa's Next Role
Jason Momoa has been building up an impressive resumé over the past few years, bringing undeniable charisma to projects like Game of Thrones, Aquaman, and Frontier. For his latest series, Apple TV+'s See, Momoa is stoked to introduce audiences to Baba Voss. He explained during a press conference:
"When you look at this on the page, it’s like here’s Jason dressed up in fur, lots of weapons and I’ve done that pretty much my whole career. I’ve been trying to do things where I smile and people like me, and about relationships."
How It Differs From 'Game Of Thrones'
Most people were introduced to Momoa through his role as Khal Drogo in Game Of Thrones. While he only has good things to say about his role on the iconic HBO series, Momoa explained the one thing he regretted from his time as the leader of the Dothraki hoard:
"This [his role in See] is perfect because Drogo, there was never a fight scene in Game of Thrones.It was great writing but there was never that moment. I also want to see when he has a kid. You saw him with Daenerys for a second. I hate comparing things but the thing is I didn’t get to exercise all the things that I’m capable of doing."
A New Kind Of Intimacy
Because the characters in See are blind except for a couple of special babies, their interactions are unlike anything that Momoa has acted before.
"There was just a beautiful moment where we sat there and it was just literally going off of sense or smell. It became a very beautiful, sensitive, I wouldn’t say sexy but it’s a very intimate scene. It’s probably the most intimate I’ve had without having to take your clothes off or any of that stuff. It’s just down to the touch and the smells of you’re a woman. It was so quiet. It was just amazing what I learned when I just turn off my eyes. That was one of the many things that I learned."
He Just Knew
Momoa also admitted that he felt the same kind of magic reading the scripts for See that he did when he first read for Game of Thrones.
"Let’s just say this has only happened twice in my life. Once was when I read Game of Thrones and two was when I read this. I just read it out loud."
