Former NFL player Jason Kelce reacts following a match during Night One of WrestleMania 40 at Lincoln Financial Field on April 6, 2024, in Philadelphia, Penn.

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce is clearly living his best life after retiring from the NFL—and his most recent public appearance found him inside a ring at WrestleMania 40.

On Saturday, April 6, Kelce surprised wrestling fans when he and his Eagles teammate, Lane Johnson, suddenly jumped into the ring while wearing luchador masks.

The unexpected moment played out during Rey Mysterio and Andrade's tag-team match against Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Ultimately, the NFL players helped Rey Mysterio and Andrade come out victorious.

The kicker: Only when Kelce and Johnson removed their masks at the end of the match did viewers recognize them.

In the comments of a video shared by the New Heights podcast's Instagram account, folks reacted to Kelce's big reveal at WrestleMania 40.

One person declared, "Retired Jason Kelce is a god damn gift to this world 👏🙌," while another Instagram user joked, "Nice of Kylie to pack his jeans."

Someone else commented, "Don’t mind Jason, just finding new things to add to his trophy case 🏆."

Meanwhile, another Instagram user pointed out, "Dude is doing all the side quests after retiring."

Fans likely remember when Jason wore a luchador mask at a Super Bowl LVIII afterparty he attended with brother Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. In one video widely circulated online, the 36-year-old danced to music while wearing a Chiefs T-shirt and the mask.

Hopefully, for the sake of Jason's fans, this won't be the last time they see him making surprise appearances in other sports arenas—with or without the luchador mask.
